DrivethruRPG to do print-on-demand

One of the leading PDF marketplaces for roleplaying games is going to offer print-on-demand versions of ebooks they sell.

They are rolling this project over time so it might not be available to all publishers anytime soon.

What does this mean for my epublishing projects?

In the short term: nothing. Do business with an established POD company like Lulu.com.

In the long term: possibly high impact.  Looks like Drivethru RPG is looking into facilitating distribution into brick-and-mortar stores. We’ll have to wait and see how easy it is for indie e-publishers to profit from DrivethruRPG’s print-on-demand project.
